I needed an updated headshot, the one I had been using looked more like a high school graduation picture. I needed the new pics in just a couple days. They did an outstanding job and actually made the session fun and took lots of time to get the best photos possible. They retouched the pics that evening and had them to me the next day. If you sign up to get your pictures done with Yannik, you are rolling the dice on whether or not you ever get your photos delivered. I’ve debated some time whether or not to write this review because overall I had such a great in-person experience with Yannik and I’ve seen that SOME people do miraculously get their pictures delivered. Yes, he comes off a little kooky and tries to be your life coach a little bit, but he did do a great job of helping me feel comfortable taking pictures plus it’s amazing to be able to take them yourself and choose the ones that you like best in real time. With that being said, when I tell you that I had to HOUND this man to get my photos delivered, I am not being facetious. During our session, Yannik promised I would get my pictures “in the next day or so, probably even today.” TEN days later - nothing. I checked my Spam inboxes - nothing. I called his business line - no answer ever. Left messages- nothing. I had Yanniks number bc prior to my session, he had messaged me via text to confirm the appointment - so I texted him directly to follow up on the pictures. I texted him FIVE separate times asking for the pics over the course of 4 more days before he finally sent me the pics. I looked up his business reviews on Yelp and realized a couple of other people had had a similar experience - I even reached out to them to ask them what happened - they never got their pictures back and gave up. Each time I texted Yannik, he would act surprised, confused and promised he would “try to see what happened.” He would say things like “that’s weird, you should have gotten them by now” and “I’ll get it to you tomorrow”, and then wouldn’t get them to me. I even IG messaged his co-worker photographer. I was about ready to roll up into his office to deal with it in person. By the end of this process it felt like I was pleading with him to send me my pictures. When he finally sent them, he blamed it on his technology / system which I’ve seen he’s told other people in other reviews. My experience took place in late January 2022 and I didn’t write a review bc I had already wasted precious energy on just getting the pictures back. However, I’ve realized he has continued to pull this stunt with other clients since then via recent reviews. Yannik seems to have run a successful business for many years and DOES incredible work with his photos, but has little regard for his client delivery experience and has stolen hundreds of dollars from people. If you sign up for a “perfect headshot” just remember during your session that you may never see those photos ever again.
